1- Jordan according to -article 98-

Which means the perpetrator will get no more than 3 years and not less than 1 year in prison for murdering a woman in the name of “honor”.
2- Palestine, according to Criminal Conciliation Law number 1 in 2017
In Gaza Strip: who ever committed the crime of killing a woman in the name of honor will pay a fine OR will be sentenced to prison for 6 months.

3-Egypt, according to article 237 from the Egyptian penal code: Whoever surprises his wife in the act of adultery and kills her on the spot together with her adulterer-partner shall be punished with detention instead of the penalties prescribed in articles 234 and 236.
Therefore the punishment will be: no more than 3 years and not less than 1 year in prison.
4- Iraq, The Iraqi Penal Code states: according to article 111 ( that was published 1969 ) : Whoever surprises his wife in the act of adultery and kills her on the spot together with her adulterer-partner or assaulted one of them
Or both and it caused them permanent disability or got them killed shall be punished with no more than 3 years in prison.
-5 Yemen, according to article 232 from the Yemeni panel code states: Whoever surprises his wife in the act of adultery and kills her with her partner, will not be sentenced to death pantly, but only sentenced to prison, For not more than one year OR paying a fine.
6- UAE, according to article (334) from the Emirati panel code states: whoever surprises his wife, daughter or sister in the act of adultery and killed or assaulted her and her partner causing a permanent disability

There used to be an honor killings law in Syria too but they finally dropped it last year.
These (weak) laws in the Arab world are the reason murdering women is increasing, it gives men the idea that they can murder their daughter, sister or wife without a punishment or an (easy) punishment.
The police all over the Middle East don’t take domestic violence against women seriously, they will only settle down with a “pledge” from the man saying he wouldn’t do it again, which of course in most cases will end up with the woman being killed.
The patriarchy allowed men to decide if they want us to live or die, made women lives cheaper than animals, made men think that they are the one who decides who get justice or not.
