Ive seen a lot of people getting ghosted by their clients. I wanna share some precautions that i do to avoid it to happen.

1. Ask them to pay the first half before starting.
Even if your work is as cheap as 100 pesos or 5 dollars. ASK THEM TO PAY HALF.

2. Put a "Commission Watermark"
Overlay and Lower Opacity to your commission watermark. You can put : unpaid, semi-paid, commission by ____. As much as possible, make your watermark as big as the commission you are doing so other artist wont finish it and fall into their trap.

3. Send your unfinished work in low quality
If your only updating your client, send the lowest quality possible. Enough to be seen but cannot be enlarged and be printed in high quality.

4. Lastly, DONT TRUST ANYONE
even if they are half paid, your family, friends, etc, DONT send the HD and finished version of ur art if they are not fully paid.

5. OPTIONAL, put your face as watermark

The ghosting might still happen if you do the steps always but i want you to take extra precaution on making commissions. I hope this helps!
