About every 9 months I forget why I don’t use @RobinhoodApp
Using Plaid works for @RobinhoodApp because it saves them💰& development time, It works for Plaid (Visa) because they get to mine RH’s customers backing, credit card and investment data until the customer changes their password. It’s not in the customers intrest.
They act like they’re the bank, using bank logos, but really it’s just legal phishing. Plaid doesn’t store the passwords it harvests securely, it can’t, they need the plain text. If Plaid gets popped so do all “their customers”.
But there is good news. If you change your banks password you’ll prevent futher access. And under the CCPA law you can force them to delete the data they’ve already collected.
Also, this seems like its BS claim, just like Zoom claimed to be end to end encrypted.
