This thread is dedicated to "Qaid-e-Azam" (Father of the Nation) #Pakistan, Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

Did you know that he was a #Hindu?
+
MA Jinnah, a Muslim whose antecedents were of Lord #ShriRam's Raghuvanshi lineage.

Thinking, how?

His grandfather, Premjibhai Meghji Thakkar, a #Hindu Lohana Rajput, a sub caste of Dhundi Rajput; was from Moti Paneli village, Talukka-Upleta, Distt- Rajkot, #Gujarat.
#Pakistan
+
They were rich merchants. Then what forced them to convert?

It was Premjibhai Thakkar's decision to get into 'Fish Business' in the coastal town of Veraval, #Gujarat. He got ostracised and excommunicated from his strict Veg Community of Lohanas. So, he moved to #Karachi. +
He became a successful businessman, tried to rejoin the community, was NOT ALLOWED though he abandoned his Fish Stint.
Premji and his son Punjalal (F/O Jinnah) were enraged and converted to #Islam.

Punjalal became Jinnabhai Punja (jinna in #Gujarat means skinny as he was one!).+
Punjalal aka Jinnabhai named his Eldest Son Mamadbhai Jiniabhai Thakkar who later became "Mohammad Ali Jinnah" after trying other Islamic names in England, for the world (especially, #Pakistan).

But!
+
For 3 generations, the #Jinnah family struggled to find its Islamic identity.

Premjibhai continued to worship the family deity Shrinathji, the incarnation of #ShriKrishna and Thakurji besides Tulsi tree. Outside, he would, however, go the mosque.
+
Even #Jinnah used to call himself, 'Half Quail, Half partridge', a personality which was divided from within.

So much so that Dina Wadia neé Jinnah, the only daughter of MA Jinnah laid claim on Jinnah House, #Mumbai in 2008 on the basis of #HINDU INHERITANCE LAWS!!

Infact,..
+
The Father of the Nation of #Pakistan himself divided his assets in accordance with the #HINDU LAWS!!

#Jinnah never found himself as a muslim. Despite his grandfather’s conversion to #Islam, he inherited his Lohana-Thakkar caste’s obstinate habits.

Surprised?
+
Like he himself, his dream project of #Pakistan is too a 'half quail, half partridge'.

Did you know, none of his 7 siblings including him ever settled there after 1947. You already know why?😁
