The left's Victorian wing needs to spend more time with the underprivileged and downtrodden. Their desire only for perfect heroes and perfect victims is self-defeating to the ideas they claim to hold.
"I never (insert X flawed behavior)!" Well, good for you. Now walk down to your local prison and recognize that social change isn't designed to help perfect Yale and Princeton grads whose parents are lawyers and professors. It's to help flawed, imperfect people.
I imagine so many people on the left construct elaborate conspiracies about stuff like the police and prison (it's all racist, everyone in jail is innocent), etc. so they avoid dealing with having to accept imperfect people (including even violent criminals)
Social change is hard because you have to learn to live with and co-exist with people who have tons of flaws and imperfections. If separating the world into piles of Good and Bad was so easy it would've already been done.
