Easier than barbell, works different muscles, involves more legs

Alternating between this and barbell for a while
I’m in my third year of lifting, rebuilding a very weak body into one that’s currently halfway strong

My body was ravaged in my 20s by autoimmune disease, to the point that standing up and walking up stairs was PAINFUL

Was thin as a rail, most of my 20s weighing 135lbs at 6’1”
After I found a cure in 2011, I still put off strength training until 2017

Now I can tell you that lifting is a MANDATORY component of good health

455lbs on a trap bar may only be decent, but it was unthinkable for me in my 20s
