The folks saying things like "Unprecedented, once in a lifetime, highest on record!" don't understand that our lifetimes are much shorter than Earth's -- let alone our data records.

Far worse storm seasons & natural disasters happened over many centuries, pre-industrial rev. https://twitter.com/BigJoeBastardi/status/1296826705886294017
We are now choking on data -- and this data is being used to confirm political biases to pass policies.

This shows that simply more data in the present is not necessarily a good thing.

"Climate change" has nothing to do with objective science anymore.
Even the Death Valley story showed the hottest *Recorded* temperature was in 1913. And almost certainly in the centuries prior there were hotter temperatures that weren't recorded.

They always leave out the fact that this stuff is NOT in fact unprecedented. Normal cycles.
Perfect example of far left politicians using this as an opportunity to push policies. Like clockwork.

Every single weather event is now a sales pitch for green policies that have failed in Germany, California & everywhere they've been tried at scale. https://twitter.com/AOC/status/1297233034639544323
We are lucky to even have some storm data from the early/mid 20th century to show this "UNPRECEDENTED!" narrative is complete nonsense.

Imagine if we had highly precise climate/storm data for the last 1,000+ years? The entire alarmist narrative would never have happened.
