Hey everyone, I am excited to announced the first EVER NFL Fan's Top 100 Players of 2020! Let me explain my process for putting this list together with a thread:
I saw a lot of criticism to the @nflnetwork Top 100 list and thought: Can the diehard NFL fan's make a better list? I reached out to hundreds, maybe even thousands (I lost count) of football fans here on Twitter. I asked each participant to rank in order their Top 20 players.
In total, I received 168 eligible lists from Twitter followers (167 + myself of course)
This took from 7/30-8/21, a total of 22 days to get 100 different players throughout the lists I received.

Which lists were deemed ineligible?
-Lists with Rookies
-Lists that were fantasy-football based
-Lists that showed extreme bias towards a specific team.
The NFLN Top 100 list is usually extremely biased, so I wanted to make The Fan's list as unbiased as possible.

Of course there was some slight bias because some fans watch their hometown players more than others, but I wanted to make sure there was no extreme favoritism.
How did I rank players?
By a point scale. Each spot had a point value, which is listed below.
#1=20pts
#2=19pts
#3=18pts
#4=17pts
#5=16pts
#6=15pts
#7=14pts
#8=13pts
#9=12pts
#10=11pts
And so on, all the way to #20 which is 1pt.
Each list submitted goes by this pt system.

What if there was a tie? Well, there were a couple tiebreaker methods:
1st tie breaker (# of ballots player was listed on)
2nd tie breaker (# of games played in the 2019 season [Availability is the best ability])
3rd tiebreaker (# of snaps played in the 2019 season)

On the list, you will see how many points players scored and there are indicators for tiebreakers:
()=they won first tiebreaker
*=they won second tiebreaker
^=they won third tiebreaker
()=they won first tiebreaker
*=they won second tiebreaker
^=they won third tiebreaker
