what if the hidden are *not good*, a thread; #renewcursed
1. in the beginning, we see the hidden saving nimue, but that is because they need her to a great purpose. and most likely they were the ones to guide her to the cave and send the dark god to test her and see if she could be “the choosen one”.
2. jonah once and again mentioned that she brought darkness and possibly it’s because the hidden were always whispering in her ear, shaping her mind.
3. we don't know it yet, but provably jonah knew nimue was not his daughter but merlin. jonah knew his story: a traitor to his own kind, fighting alongside the man blood. and the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
4. merlin knows very about how to control the hidden, because a long time ago they whispered in his ear too.
5. the hidden’s intention is to protect the fey people. point. at all costs, even if it means destroy its greatest predator: the man blood. and that's why they persuaded merlin to create the sword, the ultimate weapon.
6. and he did that very well, murdering men, women and children. serving a good cause. until he thought it was not any longer. as a consequence, the hidden took away his powers.
7. without a puppet, the hidden had to find a new one. but as special as merlin himself. there is when nimue is born. the blood of the great wizard, and so close to the sword of power. a fragile and vulnerable child to be shapped to their own will.
8. until now, nimue has fulfilled the purpose of the hidden. murder man blood.
9. and nimue is starting to suffer the effects of the sword. as what happen to merlin.
10. the hidden are whispering to lancelot because he is the potential new puppet if nimue fails (after all she is merlin’s daughter). and now that he gain his redemption it is very possible and he is fey kind.
11. also he is the only to hold the sword of power in the trailer, besides nimue.
i DONT believe in this theory but i was just thinking about it and it would be a great plot twist.
