A few notes from the "save our children" London rally today: About 500 people there, most of them young women, the vast majority thought Covid-19 was either a hoax or massively overblown, were opposed to masks, and repeated QAnon claims about a global cabal of child abusers
From the footage I've seen on Facebook so far, rallies were held in 10 other UK cities and towns today: Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newport, Huddersfield, Newcastle, Birmingham, Aberdeen and Dundee. If you were at any of these marches, please DM me
If you're not familiar with how QAnon believers hijacked #SaveTheChildren after Twitter cracked down on their favourite terms and hashtags, read this thread from a couple of weeks ago https://twitter.com/Shayan86/status/1292906416240566273
Also have a look at the global spread of QAnon hashtags in the last couple of months. QAnon is no longer just a US-specific conspiracy movement, it's rapidly growing in other parts of the world too https://twitter.com/Shayan86/status/1296956261263695874
A few placards from today's "save our children" rallies in the UK:
"WWG1WGA"
"Adrenochrome, those who know cannot sleep"
"God bless Q"
"Plandemic"
"Bill Gates, they won't have a choice"
"Agenda 21"
"Bill Gates evil"
"Depopulation"
"Covid is a distraction"
A summary of the Manchester rally from @FiddyPea: "There was probably about 200-300 people. There were WWG1WWA and PizzaGate signs. A lot of mask and Covid hoax type stuff and a sign about not wearing a "face nappy". Very diverse crowd and there were people with their kids out"
Summary of Huddersfield march by @thestephencw: "About 20-30 people. The organiser mentioned ‘trust the plan’ and ‘where we go one we go all'. They told me ‘make sure you look social distanced for the plandemic’ and claimed more people had died on the toilet than from Covid-19"
Summary of Nottingham rally by @JamesFa64574586: "There were a number of pro-Trump and QAnon banners present in the march, alongside the organisers numerous times mentioning contact with a general sent by Q and use of the slogan WWG1WGA in the lead up to the event"
Liverpool: "A few hundred people at the event. The wearing of masks was openly discouraged and I was watched closely by many for wearing one. Lots of people had QAnon placards and the use of hashtags associated with it was rife. The word scamdemic was said to me several times"
