Livetweeting the #CZULightningComplex Operational Briefing in this thread. Nobody on the podium yet but they're reading out the Cal Fire Operational Objectives

I'll come back to recap those
West push in pescadero area which consumed new fuel

Branch 2 is focusing on structure defense and protecting against the fire

HUGE PROBLEMS WITH THE PUBLIC, Lookie-loos and “helpers" are GETTING IN THE WAY
WEATHER!
Wind direction is changing. Have had persistent north winsd, but today winds will shift to out of the west and south west especially at higher elevations (sorry, thsi is bad for SLV)
Relative humidity making it easier, dry conditions returning this afternoon, esp in high elevations.

After midnight, the rel humidity at high elevations will PLUMMET, but low elevations may still get coastal fog

Fire weather watch starting for Sunday night going through Tuesday
Fire behavior!

Reiterating wind change this afternoon switching from north to south, especially in SLV and southern edge :-(

Remember the fuel level is still bad

Fire is not always penetrating the fuel at lower elevations, so that means the fire still has stuff to burn
high elevations will still see a lot of activity today especially with the changing wind, keep an eye out for lower slopes

don't let your guard down on fuel especially timber litter and duff
Lots of large timber has been starting to release
Safety update!

Don't forget covid-19 is still totally happening, gotta do self screening and follow prevention procedures.

Everyone is very fatigued, you have got to keep track of hydration and food

FINALLY, A-HOLES CONTINUE TO EXIST IN THE EVAC AREA
(he didn't say a-holes)
That's me, that's ME (Erin) calling them a-holes.

GET OUT OF THE EVAC ZONE, FFS
Operations! Normally on a fire of this size we’d have more people, you have to adapt to constrained staffing resources.

Lives come first. We have to take care of people, even if they're not supposed to be there.

Making some good headway but this is a marathon not a sprint.
They are now recapping zone division and doing a roll call, I'm not going to tweet this, I'll spend time saying a little prayer of gratitude to everyone answering the roll call.

HEY @CALFIRECZU I LOVE YOU
Biggest priorities are going to be on the east side, branches 2 and 6, have to start with protecting the civilians still in the communities.

Big win down on the south end, shoutout to Andy Hubbs for the good win, that perimeter is established and strong.
Air operations! Need clear air. Air attack and tankers are there, 9 helicopters are available.

Keep track of material loosened by air support, situational awareness is important.

I won't recap the communications channels.
First of all, you don't need the comms channels, but also IF YOU INTERFERE WITH FF COMMS CHANNELS I WILL PERSONALLY DRAG YOU TO HELL

just fyi
They're updating supply guidelines and where to get them. Now guidelines for traineers. (WE LOVE YOU TRAINEES, THANK YOU)
