Narrator: It is not a crisis. https://twitter.com/AriBerman/status/1296804161418342400
Again, the President of one of the largest postal unions in America said many of these machines have not been used.

People should be focusing on the *election officials* in various states who've never had to deal with the volume of mail-in ballots they'll get.
The panic created by Democratic politicians with a concerted assist from many in the press is ridiculous. The letters the USPS sent to 46 states had nothing to do with their ability to handle the volume and everything to do with the state laws regarding both the request for
ballots and when they can get delivered. I have said this before and will say it again, Pennsylvania is a perfect example. The state expanded mail-in voting but left their arbitrary deadlines in place. Deadline for requesting a ballot? October 27. Deadline to receive a ballot?
November 3. And a postmark is not good enough. State law says it must be received by a county election office by November 3 (they can drop it off). The postal thing is all about creating a scapegoat under the guise of blaming Trump if Biden doesn't win.
One final thing. People point to DeJoy and say he didn't come up through the ranks of the USPS. So what? The postal service's most significant business now is package delivery which is a whole new world to an agency that's dealt forever with envelopes.
People argue, "This could have waited until after the election." That's a fair argument. Still, it doesn't mean we have a "crisis" or that DeJoy is engaging in "sabotage." That's just as silly as the Trump supporters who claim Twitter is engaging in "election interference"
And let's be honest here, ok? It wouldn't be the first time union employees decided to...work a *tad* slower...when management comes in and cuts overtime. USPS has had a 40% drop in first-class mail volume in the last 10 years. OT should be going down.
