Mary, Queen of Heaven, is super important right now. In the midst of difficulty, the world responds defensively - trying to cling to its threatened pleasures and comforts like a dog whose food dish is being taken away. We cannot adopt this attitude as Christians.
Instead, we must be like the Blessed Mother, who willingly humbled herself, suffering with her Son, so that God might exalt her. And she was exalted and vindicated - not by her own effort, not by asserting herself - but by He who had loved her and formed her Immaculate.
When we face trials, we need to humble ourselves, accept our crosses, and suffer with Christ, trusting that God will reward us in heaven. Mary, Queen of Heaven, gives us hope. Seeing her enthroned above, we can trust that God is true to his promises.
So thank God for trials and adversity, so He can prove his mercy and power in our weakness! He exalted Mary above all the angels, as Queen of heaven and earth, because she humbly submitted to his Will. God can do the same in us if we humble ourselves like her.
Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us!
Mary, Star of the Sea, pray for us!
Mary, Exalted above the angels, pray for us!
Mary, Refuge of Sinners, pray for us!
Mary, Virgin most Humble, pray for us!
Mary, Queen of all Saints, pray for us!
