From a #TDSB plan that reduced class sizes for all 451 elementary schools, with prep time at end of day, to a plan that only reduces 80 schools, costs double (20M -> 40M) + exposes “cohorts” to multiple teachers for prep. I SEE your end goal @Sflecce @fordnation it is not safety/
I see you chipping away at public education at the expense of our children and our teachers. I see you disregarding the voices of medical professionals who aren’t politicized, devaluing teacher planning time, & putting our children in the front line of a science experiment.
I see you pushing an online schooling agenda, one that does nothing to support mental and emotional health of students (with disconnection from home school community). I see you pushing privatization of ed for those who can $$ & fear your plan (the best one in the world, right?).
I see you @Sflecce. As a parent who fiercely believes that every society needs a strong and thriving public education system to support all students, who are our future leaders, creators, innovators. I see your shortsightedness and privilege. I will remember. #FundEducation now.
I see parents who are dissatisfied with all options. No one wants their kids in front of a computer 4hours a day. No one wants their kids stuffed in a class w/ 20+ & no room to distance safely. No one wants either of the options you have funded. We will remember. @Sflecce
