Some Greeks say,"a truly civilized nation respects all monuments". We sent him the scrapbook containing the tender notice of 26 minarets in Salonica, which were demolished by the municipality with a tender announcement in 1924. Tell me where are our 26 minarets?

"An open auction tender was held in the municipality yesterday for the demolition of the city's 26 minarets.The start price of the tender is decided as 101.500 drachmas. Contractor Spirdon won the tender for 98.900 drachmas

"........as it is known, there is the right to benefit from the materials (rubbles and stones) of the demolished minarets. The only minaret that will not be demolished (Thessaloniki Hortaca Mosque) is the Saint George Minaret."

A year after the last Turk left Thessaloniki, more than 40 minarets were demolished just in/around the of the city, and thousands were demolished in entire Greece too.

And this destruction has continued unceasingly until today. In Bosnia, Kosovo, India, and many other places.

As time flows,
Justice still has not been done.
Now, we reject unjust accusations against Turkey over the new status of a building #ChoraMonastery which has no orthodox community. We keep all monuments even with a different purpose but we never DESTROY them.

Go to Greece and read an inscription on a Mosque, a hammam, or a bridge. It never writes "Turkish monument".

All those monuments are listed as "Post Byzantine monuments"

Here is the hate speech, here is the inferiority complex, here is the LOATHE to the Historical monuments.

If you want respect for "your monuments", first you must create respect against "OTHER MONUMENTS" in your own country. If you destroy them, you can't accuse others with a suitcase full of sins and hatred. Chora Church/Museum will be used as a Mosque because Turks kept it safe!

All the flood is dedicated to the lost Turkish lands in Balkans and the massacred civilians and annihilated settlements &monuments of there. We will keep voicing this noble history as long as we live and we won't forget the humiliation we suffered.

For those who can't perceive symbolic violence in GR, let me give examples of the never-ending war of Greece against cultural monuments and efforts for "making a fake history". Here is Western Thrace where a significant Turkish"Regional Majority" used to live since history.

This is Hamidiye Bridge which was constructed in 1901 near İskeçe(Xanthi) city. First, the Turkish Crescent on the bridge was painted in colors of Greek flag then someone hammered&removed all these Crescent-stars, and probably in a few years, they gonna place a cross on that.

Here is Yanıkköy (Nimfea Village) near Gümülcine (Komotini). The entire residents of the village are Muslim Turks. Now you see a "USELESS" church constructed on a deed land of a mosque. Despite courts and many efforts, this illegal construction has never been suspended.

This is a"Dummy Church"which has no community and even no priests. The church is constructed in the very center of the Mustafçova(Miki) village whose Entire Population are Muslim Turks,and the gate of it, always locked with a PADLOCK avoid keeping locals away from construction

Grid bars and barbed wires were reaching till the creek to prevent any entrance into the garden of"Dummy church" while the mosque has no protection from any one of the locals. So the policy is clear.Colonization. After this church, a colony will be brought from Georgia/Tsalkha

So far, over 25.000 Tsalkha Greeks (Turkish speaking Orthodox) have been placed into Western Thrace mainly in/around Turkish settlements. These are just a few samples what Greece has done in Peace Atmosphere, now the same Greeks talk about "Symbolic Violence"

Today in Greece, as long as you're a Muslim Turk, these are just some samples in your daily life in peacetime.

finding a beheaded pig at the entrance of a mosque.
finding the grave of your parents vandalized,
finding "blue crosses" on your doors,
finding leaflets at your gate

Well,such racist samples never represent a serious state () but so many constructions on so many Muslim Turkish settlements are clear samples to show a malign policy of GR against Turks. Please keep in mind that Turks are not allowed to be Police in the lands where they live

Currently, more than 2000 Greek Police are in charge of the western Thrace where Turks making up 50% of all cities and villages,and yet there are just 3-5 "UNARMED" police officers (just in office) with a Turkish background. This is almost ‰1 or ‰2

Today if you visit the Historical Bridge in Arta, all Greek guides will show you the bridge as "Byzantine Monument" while we have all "build order" documents in the Ottoman archives, Greeks distort even the history removing even its historical inscription, vandalizing from it

Symbols are important for the both of us. As we preserve Orthodox monuments in Turkey as "OUR MONUMENTS" the same is expected by Greece as well. Peace takes more than fancy speeches and bilateral talks. It needs moral investment, empathy, and mutual understanding.
