So I’ve talked before about how my dad has been in jail most of my life for cannabis related “crimes” but 11 years ago he was out for a short stint. Today, and I am super excited, I get to go pick up and hang out with my 10 yo sister for the first time ever.
I also get to see Julio (my dad) for the 3rd time ever but I would not have went if it wasn’t for meeting my sister and taking her out for a day. My main goal is to be more of a presence in her life and show her there’s more outside that tiny town. I’m told she likes to read!
One of the reasons I wanted to work in cannabis was to help folk understand through marketing that the stereotypes surrounding the plant are unfair and wrong. And to work through the shame of being a small town drug dealer’s daughter.
This is me and my sister hannah. It’s my first time meeting her since she was a baby. She was so excited to she cut her bangs off 
She wanted to go shopping at Target. She’s changed into one of her new outfits.
First ever Starbucks.
Oh and she’s not maskless inside anywhere but our hotel room. We ordered the drinks.
