As promised @mcarpenter1967, a lighthearted thread of 'Mr Men and Little Miss' as haemopoietic cells.
First up, we have 'Little Miss Twins' as erythroid progenitors with internuclear bridging. Featured works include MDS and congenital dyserythropoietic anaemia. https://twitter.com/mcarpenter1967/status/1295628626868789249
Next, we have 'Mr Sneeze' as an acanthocyte. Best known for his starring role in liver disease.
Here we have 'Little Miss Scary' as a schistocyte, striking fear into the hearts of on-call haematology registrars worldwide with her roles in the niche horror genre known only as MAHA.
Next, we have 'Mr Skinny' as a pencil cell. The majority of the roles he lands is as a recurring character in iron deficiency anaemia.
Last but certainly not least, we have 'Mr Small' as a spherocyte. Featured works include autoimmune haemolytic anaemia and hereditary spherocytosis.
Thanks to @nephrologista and her insightful daughter for the original inspiration https://twitter.com/nephrologista/status/1295304678477926401?s=20
