Leicester Full-Backs
Chilwell (£5.5m) is set to sign for Chelsea, and Pereira (£6.0m) isn’t expected to return from his cruciate ligament injury until GW 4/5. This means that Leicester’s young full-backs, Justin and Thomas (both £4.5m), could begin the season with regular starts.
The Foxes start the season with very appealing fixtures. Their first 5 are: WBA (A), BUR (H), MCI (A), WHU (H), AVL (H).
These are followed by a trickier run, with ARS, WOL & LIV in the next 4. Managers could start with Justin or Thomas, and transfer them out pre-GW6.
James Justin DEF LEI
Price: £4.5m
Playing position: RB
Appearances: 13
⚽️ 0 goals 🅰️ 1 assist
Per game: 👟 0.5 shots 🔑 1.0 KPs
🛡 4 clean sheets

Justin started the last 10 games of 19/20, due to Pereira’s cruciate ligament injury. In this time, he attempted 10 assists. At Leicester, only Tielemans and Vardy attempted more. The Foxes utilised Justin in all positions across the back-line in 19/20.
His versatility means he could continue to get regular starts, even after Pereira’s return, if Leicester don’t sign a replacement LB this summer. However, as previously mentioned, it could still be worth transferring him out due to the Foxes’ tricky run post-GW5.
Luke Thomas DEF LEI
Price: £4.5m
Playing position: LB
Appearances: 3

Thomas started the last 3 games of 19/20, due to injuries to the Foxes’ LBs Ben Chilwell and Christian Fuchs. In this time, Thomas attempted 10 assists. This made him the most creative Leicester player, and only Noble, Robertson and De Bruyne attempted more.
Justin and Thomas both attempted 10 assists between GW 29-38. This proves just how creative Thomas was, attempting the same number of assists in just 30% of Justin’s minutes.
With Leicester expected to sign a new LB this summer and Pereira expected to return for GW 4/5, I won’t be owning either of the Foxes’ young full-backs from the start. Check out my thread on the best budget defenders for more solid options.
