One thing I always try to explain is that Arab Muslims grew up in anti-Israel/Judaism propaganda. When you really think about it, it is really a miracle some of us ended up being not only pro-Israel but also vocal about it.
This may come off as me defending anti-semitic Muslims, mainly because it is. But just put yourself in our shoes, it literally starts from first grade at school, also CHILDREN t.v stations playing that propaganda in the form of beautiful songs.
An animation movie I was watching at 5 was البطل نور or "Nour, the hero", the animation also has children training to blow themselves up and kill Israelis and they were smiling and laughing about it.
I remember this video making me cry at 6 years old. They share different scenes from war and talk about fighting and seek revenge. The chorus "Here we say it is our land. Our honor, our blood, or mother. If millions of us die, al-Quds will return to us"
The song features an ensemble of who is who of Egyptian stars, and they literally have children singing along.
The idea I am trying to convey here is that the west and through people like Linda Sarsour is literally fighting the education of such Muslims and the exposure of their way of thinking, and if it is exposed somehow, it is defended.
I have a serious problem with how the term Islamophobe is used most of the times. I have a problem with how most terms are used in general to silence people. Criticism often leads to education and communication, how can you make people learn about each other with communication?
Another example I forgot to cite is cenima. This is a scene from a movie features Amr Wakid -The lucky SOB who kisses Scarlett Johansson in Lucy- blowing himself up ahead of an Israeli checkpoint The way it is made you feel like it was a beautiful thing
