Imagine you're playing a JRPG and get into a random encounter and the enemy has 23+7đť‘– HP
You manage to defeat it by casting the Absolute Value spell and whittling that HP down to zero. You keep walking and get into another random encounter.

The next guy has 𝑓(𝑥) = 𝑒ˣ

You cast Differentiate. It's not very effective.
You manage to take it down using the Logarithm spell and push on. You get a Gabriel's Horn from a treasure chest and several lemmas. You're finally ready to face the boss.

HP: ω² + 3ω + 7
Next dungeon. Very sparse, an empty space with faint outlines of figures in the distance. You have your next encounter.

You're fighting... a triangle?

HP: â–ł
You try your normal attacks but they end up just shifting it left and right. Then you remember you have an attack called "Scale". You shrink the sucker down to a point and move on.
You fight your way across the various geometric shapes: lines, circles, hexagons, even an octahedron or two. You solve a compass/straightedge problem to get to the boss's chamber and save. What awaits you is... well, you're not sure you can really comprehend it.
You're at the final dungeon, but the monsters and puzzles here seem... easy? Just a bunch of switches to pull, a series of arrows to follow, it all seems pretty logical.

But then, you see echoes of the monsters you fought before. Stitched together from convoluted propositions.
You wade your way through it all, testing your abilities to the best you can. Even an enemy with 2 HP seems to be giving you trouble. But you carry through.
You're confident in your abilities. You know you will finish this game. 100% it even. You approach the final boss.

It's just... some nerdy looking dude. He makes his first attack.

"Any bug-free JRPG sophisticated enough to express arithmetic cannot be 100%'d.

You lose.
