The problem is the Gospels, the Church, the systems of Christian power, 1,700 years of Church history, the Great Commission, Christendom, dominionism, and everything in between.

And from a Jewish perspective, YES the problem is also Christ.
I didn’t leave because I lived the Gospel. I left because the homophobia , sectarianism, and antiziganism of the Church nearly cost me my life, and my life is worth living.
Saying “Christ is not the problem” is complete erasure of marginalised people for whom Christ is a bludgeon and a boot.
