It has been remarkable and scary to see, in the last few days, how *OBSESSED* of subset of white climate men are about me. Grotesque.
My body, my nose job, my high heels, my lipstick, my career, my family, my sexuality: all hyper-focused on by these men. They ARE TERRIFIED.

Literally hundreds of tweets, with the most demeaning statements about my mental health, my perceived career failings (LOL), and my disqualification from "real science".
And, this is while historic fires rage in California, the Gulf Coast has two hurricanes, a pandemic is raging, the post office is dismantled, Bannon arrested, Biden nominated.
THERE IS SO MUCH GOING ON. And these small men find time to argue about how much they hate some lady.

Some lady who had the gall to speak her mind, to speak essentially *as a man* (meaning as a person with authority, expertises, and opinions). Behavior that white men are entitled to demonstrate in *every* space they transact in.
And the "good" men, the "reasonable" men, they sit on the sidelines silent and watch these interactions - shrugging and thinking to themselves "maybe she deserved it" Guess what, THIS IS RAPE CULTURE.
So, if your "climate heroes" have time to argue publicly that a hierarchy of gender and race is nonexistent, and that there isn't "enough space" for white men in this movement, guess what: THESE ARE NOT THE FUCKING HEROS YOU ARE WAITING FOR.
Moreover - this dogpiling was initiated bc these men percieve that OTHER WOMEN were influence by me, because these women were refusing to be servile and docile. I was the specter representing their loss of power, in the dynamics with these women. As if I am POISON IN THE WATER.
NEWSFLASH: That is not how solidarity amongst women works. We do not poison one another with support, validation, solidarity, and friendship. Rather - these are the transactions between women that LITERALLY keep us alive. We are getting free together.
We aren't infected by feminist thought - we are SET FREE by it. It is extraordinarily demeaning to think that women who you perceive to be weaker and more servile are being "infected" by women that you perceive to be toxic feminists. WHAT A FUCKING JOKE.
ANYWAYS, for the love of god, don't be that bystander. And stop legitimizing these abusers. And keep your eyes on California, the Gulf Coast, the Post Office, and our democracy. Donate to down ballot races. Keep wearing your masks. & keep the pressure on for the #GreenNewDeal.
