Why radical feminism is framed as bigotry. Unlike the radfems Emi writes about, we incorporate the intersections between other forms oppression. I enjoy Emi’s critique of the “woman in male body” trope. However there is something worrying about how she frames sex and how it
relates to intersex people, I’m hoping to seek clarification from an intersex person before I make my conclusion. Her take on body image issues is like that of a libfem who still wants to be coddled, I won’t demean you for getting cosmetic surgery but neither should I pretend
that it is feminist to do so. She aptly notes that we can’t be perfect feminists (and no one should expect that). The violence against women part doesn’t convince me that tw are more oppressed since that was her aim in that passage.
Surely if she can advocate for a type of feminism for and by trans folk, why can’t radical feminists do the same? We recognize that much of our intended results will benefit TW, we simply don’t center them. Idk about her current views but some of her thoughts don’t align with TRA
