Thread on Trump becoming an authoritarian and using tactics like Adolf Hitler
Hitler's rise to power was weird and I explained why/how he became radicalized in my previous thread about nationalism.
One of the big things was inciting fear and violence among different races and religions. Trump has done and is doing the exact same thing. Hitler blamed the Jews for all of Germany's problems. He claimed that the only way to "cure" the Aryan people was to deport or exterminate.
Like Hitler, trump blames problems on either the other party, Democrats, or just people of color. In the beginning of the Trump Administration, Trump imposed a so-called "Muslim Ban." This ban stopped anyone from predominantly Muslim countries from entering the United States.
Claiming that all of these people are terrorists is a similar thing Hitler did when blaming the Jews for everything wrong. Trump has also blamed Mexicans for a list of problems.
He famously said, "They (Mexicans) are bringing drugs, crimes, they're rapists. Some I 𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘦 are good people." Blaming another countries people for these issues is hate speech and only allows for more hateful rhetoric to be said and spread. Not to mention the other stuff.
Two years ago Trump said he wants less people from "shithole countries" and more from places like Norway. He is using the same type of hate speech, in a much dumber way, to put fear into his supporters that these people are bad and resulting in all these issues we see today.

Over the course of the entire Trump Administration, he has done things the likes of Hitler and other authoritarian dictators would do. From separating families at the border to hateful rhetoric.
Onto family separation. I have been to Auschwitz and then Sachsenhausen Detention Center. Both camps used by the Nazis in the war. From what I've seen and heard, it can be comparable to camps. These are not only humans but people seeking a better life and we do this to them.
Onto recent events. Trump has started using a force only able to compare to the Sturmabteilung (SA) and then the Gestapo. He has been using armed thugs to beat and kidnap innocent and unarmed protestors. He is violating the first amendment in the thing he is supposed to uphold.
Trump has outright said that he wants police at polling stations. He also is attempting to postpone the election over a false claim voting over mail is fraudulent. This is authoritarianism. With police at polling stations, I can only compare them to the SA.
These are going to be armed thugs at these places for absolutely no reason other than to enforce. And we all know that Trump won't accept the results when he loses. He has said this.
