Unemployment rate sits at 51 million. FYI: South Africa has a population of 57,7M. The number of unemployed win the US is almost equivalent to our entire nation, yikes! 
There are 38,1M who live in poverty in the US but according to them (South) Africans are the only ones faced with inequality? 
The number of homeless people in the US. The state of California (“Hollywood”) has the highest number of displaced people in the US. I grew up in Soweto, travelled for the US 2 years ago & can confirm that I’d never seen as many homeless people in Johannesburg as I did in LA! 
Think the issue of illicit drug use is unique to SA? Wrong, here are some stats about drug usage in the US - starting at age 12 or older. 31,9M in SA terms that would be roughly 68% of our population 
Wanna know about social grants (“welfare”)... here you go, almost 60M Americans are on welfare 
Here’s some data about the no. of people who are (sadly) living with HIV in the US. It’s not about who has more HIV+ people, just data to show that it’s global. This is a disease that sees no creed, colour, age or geography. Salute to those taking care of themselves. More life 
Let’s talk tertiary education. Only about 34% US-born Americans have a 4 year College degree. First world countries will have you believing that the majority of their people are highly educated. The average American doesn’t have a degree! 
Let’s talk about clean water... We know about Flint, stop acting brand new! Here’s an article with a list of places in the US that don’t have clean running water. A reminder: South Africa boasts one of the most clean water systems in the world
