Really didn't expect that tweet to blow up like it did, but I'm glad it has. It's given me an opportunity to think long & hard about the situation, & reminded me of the time I found out I was catering a private dinner for Redford & her caucus.
I was working for a prominent, successful, locally owned group of restaurants, owned by people who were vocal about their support for the PCs. My political stances were far less known at the time, but they knew I didn't support the PCs.
I was told, in no uncertain terms, that if I engaged in any political conversation, I would lose my job. So, like a professional, I put everything I had into a custom menu and providing a great experience for them. I was asked to go in before each course and describe them.
