1/2 I've learned that the animated PNG format is pretty unknown, and I hope it gains traction at some point, because it isnt a "brand new" format.
Long story short, similar to gifs that can show static images and animations, animated PNGs are PNGs that can contain animations.

2/3 aPNGs are totally compatible with the standard PNG format, and places who dont support them will show their first frame as normal. But for animation aPNG has several advantages: High color with alpha, higher FPS (iirc) and also the filesizes are smaller than with GIFs.
3/3 Clip Studio Paint supports aPNG as an export format, and it's what I've used in my latest colored comics on fA.
