I think there's 2 different cultures clashing here, I don't know if my Finn or Nordic moots would agree, that our cultures & problems here r different from US. All I hear is Mads addressing how the situation is over Denmark w/ almost the same population as in my country (5+mil), https://twitter.com/broodinghimbo/status/1296869498721509376
There's no statistics of how many transgenders there r in European countries, 0,5-1% was an estimate I saw with a quick use of Google. So someone who has time can count that estimate with the population of Denmark to get a rough estimate how many there are,& then make an estimate
Of their age groups & estimates how many of them might be actors. There's no need to take transgenders in special consideration while casting actors because there's not many of them, not enough to choose from. So obviously we keep casting the fitting actor for the role even
--if they'd have to pretend to be a transgender like in many Hollywood movies (like Boys don't cry) cuz there's not enough genuine transgender actors to choose from. The whole problem is focused in US & Hollywood. Mads has acted elsewhere like in Denmark, he doesn't have to know-
--what social issues are going on in US when his focus is at his homeland & he can't do anything to help your actors in US. We cast actors who can act & often there's not a whole lot of them to choose from. Please don't get angry at Mads for approaching the issue from Danish pov.
-what problems US has, when his home country is Denmark, & the situation there is different&he's not responsible for casting in US films or even Danish films. And of youre a cis pls don't get offended for us. If you're a non-Nordic transg.Try to understand things r different here
What he said was how it works here. There's not enough actors to choose from&everyone acts how they can& Mads doesn't know that US would have enough transactors to act in transg.roles, not everyone follows what goes on in US. Even if they work there occasionally he's still Danish
