Tip
: Plan ahead
When building your GW1 squad - and making transfers throughout the season - look at the next 6-8 fixtures when choosing your players.
Obviously if you know you're wildcarding soon, focus your transfers on short-term choices.

Tip
: Balanced team
There's always temptation to squeeze in all the big hitters and fill the rest of your squad with players from the Los Pollos Hermanos bargain bucket.
In my experience, having fewer big hitters for a better overall squad is a better strategy.

Tip
: Save your Chips
Depending on when the blank and double Gameweeks fall this season will dictate when's the best time to use your Triple Captain, Bench Boost and Free Hit.
Don't waste your chips early doors, as Take That would say, just have a little patience.

Tip
: Be flexible
No two seasons are the same. You have to adapt to what is happening on the pitch.
For example, I wouldn't typically pick two forwards from the same team, but, in 2013/14 when Suarez and Sturridge did their best Walt and Jesse impression, I had to.

Tip
: Enjoy it!

If you have a good Gameweek bask in the glory, gloat to your mates. If you have a bad one, make a joke about it then get over it, next Gameweek will be better!
