I’m so excited to see what painting they’ll be standing in front of in the season 3 poster
In season 1 it’s this one
And it’s funny because this is one of four hunting paintings omg and there are 4 children... Also look at these descriptions they fit in so well with the spirit of the show especially in season 1
Like this article about Rubens’ subjects as an artist... they align with the show’s subjects as well. Echoes of Greek tragedies + ‘battles and violent hunts’ (for the company, for power) + you could think about the show as a family portrait (and the consequences of this family)
Like the slogan is literally Take What’s Yours
The loftiest heights escaped Rubens and the characters in the show are the loftiest heights I guess and they escape us we can’t completely relate to them... (I mean we can because of human nature but not to their lifestyles hmm hmm)
THEY SEE THEMSELVES AS GLORIOUS AND APART FROM EVERYONE ELSE/UNTOUCHABLE... but they are all tortured OK What Rubens portrayed is what the writers are portraying
Also there is this one other Rubens painting called The Wild Boar Hunt that reminds me of boar on the floor and the Hunting ep
And then in season 2 they stand in front of Dante and Virgil in Hell
Wikipedia says this about the painting
SEASON 2 IS LITERALLY KENDALL’S JOURNEY THROUGH HELL WITH LOGAN
And in the painting they meet ‘two damned souls entwined in eternal combat’ interesting who does that remind me of
And then this bit
Throws himself at his rival with a strange fury
Depicts that strange fury through muscles, nerves, tendons, teeth.
Bitterness and strenght / Strenght a rare quality / a great boldness <3
Monstrous figures and groups of damned souls in his painting...
Logan’s terribilita
And then this bit about Bouguereau himself
WHO FAILED ON TWO OCCASIONS AND SUCCEEDED IN HIS THIRD TRY
The FIERCE DESIRE TO SUCCEED Bougereau had is what drives kendall it’s at the core of his character too
And then back to the painting, the dramatic beauty YEAH
“Had usurped the identity of a dead man” A part of Kendall ‘dying’ after the accident and him having to continue to be himself even though he no longer exists as he was before
And the contrast between Dante and Virgil / Kendall and Logan with Virgil acting as Dante’s guide
Virgil reminds Dante not to be sympathetic to the damned souls
And the relationship ends in established mutual respect (Logans respect for Kendall finally)
So basically Kendall and Logan that’s literally Kendall and Logan
So really not only do the paintings themselves fit but also the story or mindset of the painters who painted them fit too oh wow like this is so meta idc if im reaching right now
Gonna pretend that this makes sense and that I’m right yup
Even the way they pose I want to see how it’s gonna be in the new poster so BADDDD S1 they all surround logan and they are more or less in the same level / nothing is clear there are several possibilities as to who could be next
Funny how kendall is the only one of the kids sitting down like his dad
And then next season logan is back at the helm again and he has them all under his power + looking at each other suspiciously
Anyway so what I’m saying is what if kendall has a more central position in the next potser given how s2 ends hmmm that will be so sexy 
Pd in the s2 poster shiv and ken look at each other shiv sees Kendall as the competition and none of them are looking at roman but roman is looking at kendall and when the season ends roman has Kendall’s place kind of and as brian (I think) said he has something up his sleeve hm
