Think I’ll piss everyone off. You’re all bent out of shape over that Netflix show and other pop culture sexualizations. Do you know why 11 year olds are now presented as fit subjects for that? I’ll tell you. You won’t like it. Sure you wanna hear it? Ok; keep scrolling.
It’s because divorce was legalized. Especially no-fault divorce. What is legalized divorce? The legal ability to *break your promise*. Cool, huh? Say it with sincerity written all over your face but then if she gets irritating you can stuff all that and suffer no consequence.
What kind of society do you expect to have when you can promise God and another person, in front of witnesses, that no matter what happens you’ll stick...but then you’re allowed to bail at will? An honorable society? A society of good people? What are you: some f***ing idiot?
It all flows from that. Things like naughty movies and legalized infanticide (abortion) are a small step after you’ve told God - *God!* - that your promise means nothing. All the sh** in our society started with “hey, I wanna dump this broad”.
This is not to say there would be no sin otherwise. We’re not stupid here: but once gross immorality becomes socially acceptable *in one form*, where’s your defense against it in another form? It’s all or nothing. They aren’t the Ten Suggestions.
Pick what you want: a return to all morality strictly enforced...or get ready for things that would have made Caligula blush.
