I know you think you’re helping when you put a * to censor a word, but in reality, you aren’t. many people have certain words muted (like me) due to trauma/PTSD. when you censor a word with a *, it will now show up on everyone’s timeline regardless
this can be incredibly triggering/upsetting to people who have experienced trauma. instead of censoring words with a *, put an appropriate CW/TW at the top of your tweet NOT censoring the word so if that word is muted by someone, the tweet doesn’t show on their timeline ✨
an appropriate looking TW or CW would be:

CW / nsfw

make sure it’s not one word or the mute also will not apply.✨
