I’m going to vote for Joe Biden. I consider myself a Leftist. I’m a @DSA member. I’m no fan of Biden nor the DNC. Corporate controlled parties are what’s wrong with this country. But I’m voting Biden. Here’s why:

Just not being trump is reason enough. Trump is a literal fascist. He is dangerous. He will continue to incite racial tensions and encourage police brutality. Trump only loves himself. We cannot allow him a second term. Only one candidate has a chance to beat him. Joe Biden.

I know the left likes to bash on RBG. No one is perfect, but she is a million times better than whoever trump would replace her with. She is a champion of women’s rights. We need more justices like her.
I have no issue with third party voters. We need a viable multi-party system. But I don’t find Howie Hawkins inspirational. He isn’t a great candidate. Texas might flip blue this year, and I want to be a part of that.
I don’t know if we can push Biden left. But we have a far better chance of that than getting trump to listen to us. Trump only cares about himself. He only panders to his vile, racist base.
Biden listens to doctors and scientists. He will reestablish the pandemic response team. He actually cares about 170,000 dead Americans, and millions more sick. His Covid response will be better than what we have now.
Biden isn’t *as* pro-choice as me, but is pro-choice. And Kamala Harris isn’t a religious bigot. Mike Pence is a dangerous bigot. They will protect Roe. They won’t try to defund Planned Parenthood.
A Biden-Harris administration will protect LGBTQ rights. No, their records on this aren’t perfect, but I believe they have evolved, and will be good allies. They will listen when we push them to be better allies.
I’ll think of more later, but this is how I’m feeling now. I might lose followers over this, and that’s okay. Everyone should vote for who they want to. Everyone should just VOTE. These are my reasons for voting for Joe Biden in November.
