In his last four starts, Ross Stripling has 15 strikeouts, a number equivalent to the amount of earned runs he has allowed during that span.

Prior to his start on August 17th, his pwOBA+ was 102 (slightly below average) and his wOBA+ was 100.
His curveball is average (99 trait-based whiff%+), and his 4-seam fastball is not great (82 trait-based whiff%+).

Also, Stripling is generating less vertical movement on his changeup (6.1 fewer inches on average).

He's not commanding his pitches as well as he did last year.
One glaring issue is that Stripling has been releasing his curveball and changeup at significantly different positions, something that dates back to last year.

The only pitcher in baseball with greater disparity in ch and cb rps is Antonio Senzatela (0.64 ft compared to 0.56 ft
for Ross Stripling).

His ground ball rate has fallen drastically (50.2 to 28.4%).
This negative change can be partially attributed to the location of his pitches.

Stripling has got to fix/mitigate the release point problems and rekindle his command in order to excel.
