I am a progressive Democrat that works with moderate Democrats.

Why?

Bc it is the only path *based in reality* to getting progressive policies passed.

Even if Sanders was President, to get a #GreenNewDeal or #Medicare4All thru Congress, we would need votes of moderate Dems.

I am angered & frustrated by half measures. When I see my friend lose her job and no longer have heart medicine bc we don’t have universal healthcare. When I see a moderate approach to climate change that means I will grow old and die on an unlivable planet.

When I see the urgent needs of my Native community constantly left out of even progressive policy platforms, I get MAD.

But my guiding star is not how I feel.

My guiding star is the impact of my actions.

I am voting for Biden-Harris come Nov not bc it’s a guarantee that these progressive policies will pass, but bc it’s the most realistic path to get there.

Once elected, we will continue to push them. Which is ALWAYS our job as citizens and organizers no matter who gets elected.
