A fun thing I can do with my outdoor security camera is view a time-lapse from the night before. "I'll finally see the deer that keep eating my plants! Or the cat that hangs out under my porch!"
No. Thats not what I saw.
For nearly an hour exactly, from 2:45 to 3:45 AM there was....a shape standing at the end of my driveway.
Really tall, and thin, and glowing at the top. Maybe it was from some weird light reflecting off the lake? Maybe a neighbor had an outdoor light set for that specific time?
Except like...at 2:45 AM it appeared at the edge of driveway, where the trees stop, and slowly, over a few moments,, moved in place in front of my door and stayed there for the rest of the hour. Then disappeared.
Me:
Honestly I'd be freaking out a LOT more except I think about shit like this around here all the time. I live next to a graveyard. My house is surrounded by tall trees and water. It's dark here at night. Of COURSE there is shit I don't want to know about out there.
The only way I survive here is the mantra of "if nothing has hurt/possessed me by now, I'm probably fine".
Okay so I didn't sign up for the Ring Protection Plan or whatever until this morning, so I don't know if I can share/save the recordings from last night??
Okay, maybe I was overthinking it and letting my imagination run wild or I couldn't capture the movement by sliding through the frames with my finger, but this is what my screen recorder got.
It definitely looks more like a reflection of light than anything, i just hate how it was there, unmoving and unexplained for like an hour.
Anyway, hi friends, please come visit me in my totally not haunted house in the woods someday!
Also worth noting, which I didn't think about before, SOMETHING triggered the cameras lights to go on
I am very sorry if this did not have a satisfyingly spooky ending. I could have come up with some creepy Adam Ellis bullshit to keep it going, but like. I'd rather make comics.
