Since we haven't had practice this week, I thought I'd share some of my favorite EDDs I do every day with my WRs. All of these drills I picked up from colleges that I feel like consistently produce the best WRs. First is press releases... In-Out-In & Out-In Out
In-Out-In & Out-In-Out is also known as a "Triple Move." Here is Urban Meyer detailing the teachnique
Stance/Start with front toe on a small hurdle. Helps eliminate false steps & make your WRs explosive off the LOS.
L Drill working the break points on square cuts & comebacks
Footwork/Hips, I call it the "Figure 8" drill
Pass by, working separation technique at the top of a route to regain leverage.
Hold Your Line, works on the WR positional maintenance on the deep ball
Taking the drill to the field... "Hold Your Line"
Over the Top - I try to emphasize to the WRs that this is how we want to try and catch a slightly under thrown deep ball. The reason for this is you don't open up/turn around and expose the ball/pocket to the DB, your back acts as a shield, DB has to go through you/interfere.

Blur Drill - Trying to simulate the ball disappearing behind a defender on an in breaking route..
Taking the "Blur" drill to the field
Wrong Shoulder Drill
Taking the "Wrong Shoulder" drill to the field...
Call this the "Ball Drill." You can use it as wrong shoulder, or have the WR turn his back and the coach calls "Ball" and the WR flips and finds it. We turn over both shoulders
