HOW TO GET CREATIVE

Creativity goes hand in hand with online business

If you are creative you will be for sure successful if you implement it

And sadly

only 2% of adults are creative

But dont worry

You can learn how to be creative

And I will show you how

In couple steps

1. Ask the right question

When you look at Starbucks

They didn't asked this question like everyone else:

"How can I make Italian coffee in USA"

They instead of that asked this:

"How can we create a great and chill environment to drink coffee?"

Thats why they are this successful

They are not just another coffee shop

And how do you get to the right question?

1.1 WRITE 10 VARIANTS OF THE SAME QUESTION

Dont overthink it

example:

"How do I build a better mousetrap?"
"How do I get the mice out of my house?"
"What does the mice want?"
"How to make it outside better so the mice goes there?"

1.2 DEBUG YOUR LIFE

Criticize every imperfect thing or situation you come in contact every day

And just thing of make it better

This will really help your mind to think about different things and that's how your creativity will grow

1.3 MAKE SOMETHING THEN REINTERPRET IT

When you create something or just think of something

Like a chair

Just think of ways of using it other than sitting on it

You can use it as a bookshelf if you put it on wall or it can be a stand for your tv

2. BECOME AN EXPERT

Before you can be creative about something you need to know about it

Research suggest that before you become a expert it takes 10k hours of practice

But hey you dont have to do that

Just do your research about the things you do

2.1 LISTEN TO TED TALKS

There is so many TED talks on YouTube for free

And so many smart and creative people are talking there about really interesting stuff

And if you listen every morning to one TED your mind will have so many new things

To think about

And that's how you get more creative too

2.2 GET A MENTOR

Lets be honest

Almost every Nobel prize winners have them

Getting a mentor doesn't mean that you will pay some guy 10k a month for that

No

Just find somebody that you really trust

Doesn't matter if online or irl

Just find that person

And talk with them

And show them what you know

And ask them some questions

3. BE OPEN AND AWARE

Be always on lookout for a possible solution of day to day things

Practice this by just looking at many different things and problems you see and think about way to solve them

And try to resist stereotype people

3.1 CREATE YOUR OWN LUCK

People who tend to call themselves lucky tend to see opportunities more than so called unlucky people

Thats because lucky people are more open to new things and curious

Unlucky people are focused on narrow goals

Be open minded

3.2 DONT LET ACCIDENTS ANNOY YOU

So many good things came from accidents

Peniciline, Chewning gum and more

When something doesn't work out the you wanted

Study it

What happened

Its like when your Facebook ads dont work

You study them

What worked

And what didnt

Thats how you make a good ad

3.3 PLAY WITH CHILDREN TOYS

Firstful it just chills out your mind

And almost every super creative company has toys in their office

It will just make you think differently

4. PLAY AND PRETEND

"When you play, your mind can wander and your subconscious has time to work. This is why time off from work is necessary for creativity to bloom."

4.1 EXPLORE THE FUTURE

Imagine yourself wildly successful in 5 years, and just think about how you get there, what exactly you did and when.

What obstacles you had, and how did you overcome it

4.2 LEAVE SOMETHING UNDONE

When you are working at something

Dont finish it until you go to sleep

Just leave it undone

Your mind will think about it at night and you will get new ideas and things you can do

4.3 BECOME A BEGINNER

Learn something new

Like jogging or wood cutting.

Anything

Just something new

There is so many things you can do and it will teach you so many things other than just the activity you are learning about

5. GENERATE LOTS OF IDEAS

This is the part where you come up with ideas, and lots of them.

5.1 LIST UNUSUAL USUS FOR COMMON HOUSEHOLD OBJECT

Make a long list of unusual things you can do with fork, knife, brick

It doesn't matter what

If its stupid or smart

Just write it down

5.2 SET AN IDEA TIME

Set a time in your day when you will be only thinking about something and nothing will distract you

It can be 30min in the morning just writing stuff in your notebook

You will get so many new ideas when you will do this

6. FUSE IDEAS

Combine things that normally dont go together, recent British study shows that when you give two groups of people 3 words

Which they have to use to create a story

The group with completely unrelated words like cow, rocket, notebook

Will have a lot more creative stories

Try it at home

6.1 MAKE REMOTE ASSOCIATIONS

Go to random page in 2 different books

Choose a random sentence in each book

And make a story that will make sense

And try to find connections between these two sentences

6.2 ENGAGE WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE DIFFERENT FROM YOU

We usually hang out with people who are exactly like us

Its comfortable and fun that way

But sometimes you have to go outside of your own circle and talk with different individuals

Try to talk with as many people as possible about their passion and what they do

You will learn so much

And the more you know the better

Also try to imagine yourself as somebody else

Like a car mechanic or chef

How would you see the world?

7. CHOOSE THE BEST IDEAS

You have now read the 6 steps how to be creative, so you should have plenty of ideas

But which one to choose?

7.1 KNOW WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR

To know this you have to know what you want, you have to feel it

Many recommend to go with ideas that are simple, elegant and robust

7.2 MAKE IDEAS COMPETE AGAINST EACH OTHER

Select few and look at them

And see how are they different

And which one is better and why

You can write all of your 50 ideas on paper and just look at them

What they have in common and what not

7.3 NEVER STOP EDITING

When you get the perfect idea about something

Just look at what things are not good about it

Ask experts that will tell you what can be better

Make it as good as possible

NOW TAKE ACTION

You can now have the perfect idea that will change the world

Or will make you ton of money

But it is still an idea

Now you have to take action and put in the work

And I trust you!
