People have been asking if Election Day can be postponed.

s 20 of the Representation of the People Act:

After GG has issued proclamation naming Election Day & before Election Day, if the GG in Council is 'satisfied' that it is 'expedient' to postpone Election Day bcz ...
'earthquake, hurricane, flood, fire, outbreak of pestilence or outbreak of infectious disease or other calamity' he may adjourn Election Day to 'some other day...not being more than thirty days after the day specified'
so once Election Day has been proclaimed, we can't postpone for more than 30 days.

My take: covid numbers could be worse in 30 days. No point postponing at this point.
Interpretation Act - "Governor-General in Council” means Governor-General acting in accordance with the advice of
the Cabinet"
