"Why are the anti's at the clinic the way they are?" is a question I get a LOT. Upon reading that article, seems to fit with other GROUPS THAT IDENTIFY WITH A LETTER out there.
The loudest anti's are the ones that get that dopamine hit from yelling at escorts and clients. They enjoy what they do. "Saving" anyone is secondary. They are "righteous" and they are going to let you know that when THEY bully, its ok because (in this case) Jesus.
We don't engage with anti's, so as the article states, we don't get to tell them how we feel about our personal boundaries being violated. However, the anti's do read the twitter. But again, they don't care. They want to violate boundaries.
And what do we call people that repeatedly and gleefully violate boundaries? At the very minimum, Toxic People.
I have my own theories about people that get into AA or drug recovery that substitute the drug with religion and get the same dopamine hit. Then they come to the clinic to get their fix. I have a feeling its why those two anti's drove around in their truck to yell at us today.
They also get the dopamine hit by being alienated from everyone because of how they act. Their extended families won't talk to them because they have set boundaries of what is acceptable behavior. Now the toxic person gets to be the martyr. It's a cycle.
People that grew up in these communities and have left have lots to say about to deal with it. @C_Stroop and @KEBrightbill to name two.
And again, they willfully and gleefully dehumanize and those that won't go along with their rhetoric. Before Qanon, remember "baby killer" from Bill O'Reilly? And who did Bill O'Riley get that rhetoric from? You guessed it, the anti-choice groups that had been protesting, blockaiding, and harassing Tiller and other abortion doctors for years. Sort of like Qanon talks about people being "pedophiles" and "shills" and "fake news". Same dehumanization rhetoric that makes it easier for people that disagree to be harmed. Because they aren't REALLY human.
