You see this HRV trend in an athlete. Today is day 16. You determine It's stress-related, not training fatigue. Do you adjust training for the athlete? Does it matter if its an endurance, team-sport, or strength/power athlete?
Seems to be agreement that this is a concern, worthy of further digging. Of note, performance wasn’t even mentioned. I find this interesting bc a major criticism of HRV is that it doesn’t = performance. Obviously there’s a bigger picture. Maybe performance drops too late?
Additionally, no responses indicating that this trend would not be of concern for a strength/power athlete. I don’t see why sport-type would matter here.
