Dear poultry farmers,
It will not be a bad idea to have sense ooo 😜😜. I had a terrible experience for two years with a popular market woman in Abeokuta with my birds🙆🙆.I feel the need to share it maybe someone might learn from it.
Oya let's go...

For the sake of confidentiality I won't mention the name of the woman but she was a popular woman among poultry farmers in Abeokuta around 2004 -2008. She was popular to the level that a whole ANIMAL CARE would invite her for top-notch seminars. She didn't attend school but she
was educated whenever you talk about poultry. I am using "was" because I don't know if she is alive. This woman would go round every poultry in Ogun state to source for chickens because she was a chicken monger. I collected her number at a conference organized by ANIMAL CARE at
NUT hall. I had some old layers I wanted to sell December of that year and I know this woman will come to the farm to pack everything and pay you in cash. This will definitely eliminate selling one by one. So I called her few days to Christmas. I had intentions of selling N1300
or N1250 last. I knew she could sell for 1500. So this Iya came to the farm and asked me to bring one or two of the birds she wanted to buy to check how heavy they were( Samueli mu meji wa ka wo bi won se wuwo si). I don't allow anyone into the pen as a standard procedure. So I
brought out two heavy ones and handed them to Iya ooo😭😭😭. She collected and gave them back to me that they were not heavy enough that I should bring another ones. Mumu like me😜😜, I went back put those ones back and brought another set. This woman said she would pay N1000😳😳
I rejected the offer and stood firm at 1250. She said, " mi o gba jale oo" meaning she no gree as if she was the one selling. So I started speaking yeye grammar that I wouldn't break even, their percentage production was not that bad, blah blah blah. This woman just starred at me
as like I was blabbing. Later I said No and she left with her bus. Two days to Christmas, I didn't see one person to buy one chicken from me. Those that came priced at N900. Omo na so I called the woman to bring N1k to buy the birds. To my surprise, she said she would pay N900.
My new birds had started laying and I never planned to keep the old ones. So I called told her to come and carry them. She did the same for my broilers at Easter. A year after I was discussing with two farmers how to sell my birds when one said "Mi o le ta adiye mi fun woman yen
Meaning I cannot sell my birds to that woman. He said the woman had a ring on one of her fingers on the left hand. That whenever she collects the birds from you with her left, she will ask you to return them and once you do that, you will eventually sell the birds to her at
ridiculously low price. Omo na so I became furious oo. I called her to come and buy the birds. She came and requested I bring the birds out. I brought two out and noticed the ring and she collected with her left hand. She said I return those ones and bring another set. I kept the
ones I brought on the floor and went back to pick another set. She insisted I took those ones in and I told her that I have someone coming for those ones. I brought another set and I saw anger written all over her. Me that I no dey look Uche face😜😜. That was how she bought from
me the actual price I called it. I heard that if you one refused to return the birds, she must buy your birds at the rate you call it for her💃💃. That was how I conquered her oooo. This woman as at that time owned 4 houses and cars.
I don't know how someone will be working hard
and some people are somewhere planning to make the effort worthless. I never believed in (jazz) before until I met that woman ooo.
Haaa!!!!! Nkan nbe.
Receive sense oooo and have an Owambe Friday. 🙏🙏🙏
