One of the things I hate about the "Fandom Menace" - or whatever term you wanna use - is how they always appoint certain filmmakers/writers/producers as these irredeemable villains.

People need to remember, no one sets out to make a bad show/movie/book/game.
What makes this especially annoying is when one of these figures is involved in something they actually like. There's always some excuse as to why their chosen villain is still a "talentless hack."
Kathleen Kennedy's work on many classic movies is downplayed and disregarded. Folk often say she had "nothing to do with The Mandelorian" despite her having the exact same role on the sequel movies.

The dismissal of her work on older films always carries sexist overtones too.
Or how folk who hate Star Trek Discovery, but love Fringe simply can't reconcile Alex Kurtzman being a key creative head of both shows.

They always find some way to make out Kurtzman wasn't involved in Fringe somehow, despite him being the co-creator and co-exec producer.
I've said many times, I don't think Chris Chibnall is doing a good job running Doctor Who, but Broadchurch was brilliant.

I don't get this need to have to appoint someone as this arch villain. Some folk don't always hit home runs, it happens.
To endlessly shit on a person's entire body of work because you didn't like their contributions to a single show is just stupid.

And it turns discussions about art into throwing shit at a small handful of individuals whose biggest crime is just doing their jobs.
