Sure enough @KDVR made an unannounced and very unwelcome appearance at today's autonomous assembly at Sunken Gardens Park. Fox was out at "anarchist" meetings chasing police narratives that are going completely unchecked by media, despite numerous activists videos circulating.

If we want to maintain our movement and keep our people safe, OpSec and security are going to be taken more seriously by new organizers. Here are some organzing basics, from us, a group of antifascists and undocumented families who are monitored by DHS and the FBI.

Do not invite random members of the public to plan direct actions with you. Plan actions with people you trust and know well.

Do not talk about or do training in militant self defense tactics with people you've never met before.

Do not organize on Facebook or Instagram Messenger. DPD can absolutely monitor your private messages. Use Signal, Keybase, etc

Get a protonmail. Get off of Google. Don't use Google Docs. Use Riseup pads instead.

Use VPNs on your phone and laptops. Use burner phones at high risk actions. Pull your phone battery when planning high risk actions with your trusted comrades. Encrypt your phone with password entry for security and arrests.

Don't be in giant group chats of unvetted people. Burn group chats when people get arrested.

Run a legal line and jail support for direct actions. Make arrest wills beforehand.

Run security even at meetings. There will be infiltrators, fascists, and even Fox News.
