#NUFC keeping Dwight Gayle next season is a good move considering our financial restrictions. He is the best goal scorer we have in the squad, as proven during the post-lockdown run of games. 1/5
Gayle PL per-90 metrics 19/20 (450+ mins):
- 62nd percentile for goals
- 71st percentile for conversion rate
- 70th percentile for shots on target %
- 73rd percentile for goals per shot
- 96th percentile for non-penalty xG/shot
Decent numbers for mid to lower league team 2/5

He ranks 4th out of 62 PL CFs for his non-penalty xG per shot, meaning he averages some of the best quality chances per shot in the league.
He misses some sitters (Southampton away, City in the QF)... but he gets into good goal scoring positions... 3/5

That said, he has a horrible injury record & I question what he brings to the team other than goals (more is needed from a CF in a low possession team like #NUFC).
So we definitely need another CF this Summer, but we should be happy to keep Gayle in the squad IMO... 4/5
