The guys from my natural gas
company came looking for leaks. It took them time to find the culprit. But they found this in my attic. The water heater flue, or exhaust pipe, that allows the hazardous gases to go out the home had a pretty big separation from water tank 4/7

Google water heater and CO and you are going to find the story of a family that unfortunately died from CO poisoning from a poorly vented water heater last year https://www.google.com/amp/s/abc6onyourside.com/amp/news/local/issue-with-water-heater-blamed-for-carbon-monoxide-that-killed-4-family-members 5/7
CO is odorless and colorless gas, the only way to detect a leak is with a detector. A silent killer, and yes, worse than #COVID. I’m grateful I had it installed last year as part of a package that came with alarm system, but not because I thought I needed. Thank God!! 6/7
If you have appliances running with gas, you need it. If it comes from poor ventilated water heater, you will not be able to detect it by odor, like a gas leak. Buy a CO monitor and protect your household. 7/7
