Just because you cannot afford a luxury item doesn't mean it's overpriced. My take on expensive clothes/accessories is that it's well worth the $ if the people who made it are getting paid fair wages.
Obviously a lot of designers still overcharge and don't properly compensate their workers and in that case... the solution is that those designers need to be held accountable and pay their workers well. But the solution is not to simply all clothes cheaper in general
A lot of so-called leftists calling for all clothes to just be cheap doesn't sit right with me when cheap fast fashion is *because* of capitalism forcing a "I want this so I need to consume this RIGHT NOW no matter what" mentality onto ppl
This is not to say shame poor people who cannot buy expensive/"ethically" made clothes but if ur a socialist u should know better than to complain about expensive items that are made relatively fairly just because you personally cannot afford it
