Why have a car-sewer in front of your house? Why do we have this much PUBLIC land cordoned off to PEOPLE? My street has room for bikes, trees, grass, a playground. It’s an open green space perfect for socially distanced socializing.
I don’t have to speak up to be heard over the drone of autos. I don’t have to worry about my kid biking on a street along side speeding 1-ton hunks of metal.
And I don’t have to live distant from the fun parts of urban life for this. I can walk to my job, cafes, the school, libraries, the light rail.
