I'd like to congratulate all of my friends who got out of coaching. All we knew was basketball. Basketball was our lives. We took a leap of faith and made a choice for OURSELVES. Do you know how scary that is? To walk away from everything you've ever worked to achieve?
To walk away from your coworkers, your players. From people you love. It is not easy. It takes courage and a whole lot of hope. I had no idea I'd love my new job and be as successful as I am now. Its something I never envisioned. Living in florida, working for a software company.
I know people who got out of coaching and moved across oceans! I know it wasn't easy, but I am proud of you all for believing in yourself, and putting faith and trust into the unknown.
