Idk like I know politicians just make stuff up but like...the time I’ve spent this summer working to connect criminalized protesters to volunteer attorneys BECAUSE of Keisha’s response to the protests being “arrest them all”...and then this?
The THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of hours that have gone into jail support because of these arrests...
The trauma each person who was arrested faces...the further covid risk those already in jail were exposed to...the still-unanswered demands to defund and abolish the police...
The fact that Keisha actually gave all the cops a $500 raise at the same time we were screaming defund??
Idk I’m just listing things now but yeah, you wonder why people might not want to vote for the Democratic Party? Because they arrest and kill the people in their cities and then tell the same people it’s a matter of life or death to vote for their candidates
